With Summerclash just around the corner we thought we'd get some of Berlin's best known residents together to share some of their favourite spots in the city away from Mellowpark.

Today, we talk with art director and someone who's lived in the city for the past 26 years, Bart Laubsch.

How long have you lived in Berlin?
I moved to berlin in 1988.

What made you move to Berlin?
My parents decided to move here and we stayed here since. So it wasn't my decision but I am glad my parents took this one.

What keeps you in Berlin and makes it a better place to live than anywhere else?
First of all it´s my home and it is big and has alot of different areas to discover, living is still cheap, summer is great, there are a lot of different cultures and scenes making it a interesting place and since everyone is moving to Berlin a lot is happening here.

The best place to eat in Berlin?
My favourite place to eat is a Köfte place in Kreuzberg at Kottbusser Tor called Konak Grill.

The best place to get a coffee?
Best place to get coffee is a place called Double Eye in Schöneberg, very close to where i live. They serve Portuguese coffee creations.

The best place to party?
We hang out outside a lot, the better area to party is the Neukölln/Kreuberg area, you will find bars and clubs everywhere.

The best place to chill?
The best place to chill is the new open space in the airport right in the centre of Berlin. It is a huge area right in the center of Berlin.

The best place in the city to get inspired?
I actually feel like the whole city is an inspiring place, people are taking advantage of free spaces and try to influence and create them.

The best place to see some history?
In the centre around Kreuzberg you will find a lot of big pieces taken out of the Berlin Wall and a lot of historical buildings and monuments. Berlin has a big history and you can see it everywhere if you pay attention, no need to go into museums.

The best place to shop?
Hackescher markt. Good selection of shops for clothes.

One piece of advice for people visiting Berlin?
Bring a party-proofed snapshot camera.

One vital item to take to the Summerclash?
Bring a Fisher Hat, we all gonna look cool and alike and it will keep our tiny brains cold.
