With Summerclash just around the corner we thought we'd get some of Berlin's best known residents together to share some of their favourite spots in the city away from Mellowpark.
Today, professional blader and photographer, Dominik Wagner.
How long have you lived in Berlin?
For almost 6 years now.
What made you move to Berlin?
I got a place at a good photography school here, plus my girlfreind at that time really wanted to go to Berlin aswell! Also a lot of my friends were already living in Berlin or were about to move here helped a lot.
What keeps you in Berlin and makes it a better place to live than anywhere else?
I guess its the summer which is mostly very great in the city. I dont think Berlin is the best place to live but it's a very open minded city with so much going on while being super cheap, I don't think i could affort the lifestyle I have in Berlin in any other metropole in the world!
The best place to eat in Berlin?
This Suddaniesian place down my street, or Bürgermeister the burger place in an old public toilet!
The best place to get a coffee?
At my job when I am there and make the coffee, hahaa na I have no idea I heard the place Five Elephants in Kreuzberg is really amazing!
The best place to party?
There are way too many but it really depends on the party and what you are looking for, I prefer the spontaneous houseparty crashing style.
The best place to chill?
At the canal in front of my house, the Görlitzerpark or Tempelhofer Field (old airport in the middle of the city).
The best place in the city to get inspired?
C/O Berlin very cool place for photography exhibtions.
The best place to see some history?
Museums Island in Mitte not far from Alexanderplatz
The best place to shop?
shopping is shit everywhere but there are some ok second hand shops in Prenzlauerberg and Friedrichshain.
One piece of advice for people visiting Berlin?
Seriously don't fucking walk on the Bikepath. I know sometimes it's hard to realise but watch out where you are walking!!!!!!
One vital item to take to the Summerclash?
Watergun.
